Our Philosophy

We believe successful strategies are more than Mission Statements, Value Propositions, and Critical Success Factors.  Our experience has taught us:

  • Strategies must be grounded in a clear vision and meticulous operational implementation plans that enable people to do their best work

  • Operational implementation plans -- the goals, processes, and systems -- provide the framework for people to deliver strategic success

  • Implementing operational plans is hard work; requiring relentless discipline, focus, and personal commitment throughout an organization

Cloud BEAM – Balanced Economic Assessment Model

Most commonly used to evaluate economic feasibility of moving from an “on premise” solution to a “cloud solution”, BEAM is useful in financial comparisons of two or more technology solutions.  The approach is a comparison of actual costs (OPEX and CAPEX) over a defined time period (typically 3-5 years).

SARA – Solution Analysis and Risk Assessment

This offering is most commonly used to evaluate two or more competing technology solutions to determine which of a set of alternatives offers the best prospects for meeting business objectives and intended purpose.

Scorecard Development

Strategy implementations often stray from their original implementation targets due to the lack of upfront work required to determine how to best keep track of progress.  Scorecards offer a successful approach to identify key success indicators that are tied to organizational goals and objectives.

Strategy and Operational Assessments

Strategies are often confusing to the people most needed for successful implementation.  Strategy reviews focus on simplifying the communication to people with operational responsibility and tying in their goals and objectives with the strategy.  Operational assessments focus on prioritizing the operational workloads to align with a business strategy.

Program/Project Interventions

Programs and Projects can easily go off the rails without ensuring the people working “on the business” are integrated with the people working “in the business”.  Often times projects don’t have the governance structure needed to ensure alignment with business strategy and organizational communications.  Programs can easily become monuments to process without adding any value to the projects they initiate.  Sometimes an intervention is necessary for course correction.
